Jamie Hornby serves as Executive Pastry Chef for We Care Hospitality, bringing creativity, precision, and a deep passion for the pastry arts to every dessert she crafts. A graduate of the prestigious New England Culinary Institute, Jamie has built her career on combining classic techniques with modern flavors to create desserts that are as visually stunning as they are delicious.
Before joining We Care Hospitality, Jamie spent nine years with the José Andrés Group, where she held pastry leadership roles in multiple high-profile restaurants across the country. She began at The Bazaar by José Andrés at the SLS South Beach as Chef de Partie and was later promoted to Sous Chef. In 2017, she became Executive Pastry Chef at Bazaar Mar in Brickell. After a brief sabbatical traveling the U.S. with her husband, she rejoined the group in Las Vegas at Bazaar Meat in 2019 and later helped open another Bazaar Meat location in Chicago, where she remained until 2023.
Known for her attention to detail and innovative approach, Jamie now leads the pastry program across multiple We Care Hospitality venues, designing menus that elevate the guest experience and reflect each concept’s unique identity. Whether she’s developing a seasonal feature or perfecting a signature sweet, Jamie approaches every creation with care, imagination, and a commitment to excellence.
